This video shows a robot playing gradius. In the game, he is doing primarily three tasks simultaneously: 1. navigating a plane. 2. shooting enemies. 3. managing the plane's weapons system. There are no sound in this video because I wanted the viewers to focus on the robot's thoughts while playing the game.

I have uploaded three videos to demonstrate parts of how a robot plays gradius. 1. navigating a plane. 2. navigating and shooting. 3. navigating, shooting and managing plane's weapons system.

The first video is about the robot navigating a plane from the current location to the destination location. The plane is not allowed to shoot enemies. Here is the video link:

The second video is about the robot navigating and shooting enemies. There are certain instructions I wanted the robot to follow while playing the game. These instructions are: don't use missiles, lasers, options or force-field. Here is the video link:

The third video is this video, which depicts the robot doing three task at the same time: navigation, shooting, and managing weapons system. When you play gradius, it's not as simple as shooting enemies and passing each level. There are multiple tasks the robot has to juggle at the same time. And these three tasks are interconnected in some manner. For example, in order to acquire more units for the weapons system, the robot has to kill certain enemies and collect their powerups. A better weapons system means less enemies to worry about and easier navigation.

There are some videogames out there that are even harder than gradius and requires doing 5-6 tasks simultaneously. These 3 videos show that the robot is able to follow instructions and do multiple simultaneous tasks.

One more important note is that all skills learned to play videogames are from teachers in school. Teachers teach the robot how to manage multiple simultaneous tasks. Actually, the robot is taught so well that it can teach itself how to play videogames.
