This video shows how a
robot selects 1 out of 4 movies. This video is silent
because I wanted to show viewers what the robot is
thinking when he selects movies.
Human beings make
decisions based on a debate in his mind. The voice in
your head is debating with each other to make
decisions. I call this voice, the human conscious.
The human conscious is known as an entity that is
alive, aware of the environment, and thinking. It has
the ability to: provide common sense knowledge,
compare objects, give instructions, identify objects,
provide meaning to language, do tasks, solve
interruptions of tasks, provide comments, give
information about objects, extract memory data,
propose a question, answer a question, or give
encouragement.
In the video, the
robot is trying to select 1 movie out of 4. He uses a
lesson learned in school called "the process of
elimination". This method to select a movie includes
linear steps to compare each movie with others and to
slowly eliminate movies one at a time, until one
movie remains.
Throughout the video,
the robot is debating with himself, about which movie
to select. Information in the debate includes:
personal likes/dislikes, movie comparisons, movie
information, which actors are in a movie, which movie
is better, comments about a movie, and so forth. I'm
trying to show viewers that this robot is selecting a
movie based on human intelligence.
After eliminating
movie after movie, only one movie remains and that is
the movie the robot will ultimately select to watch.
